The Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church Religious Education Program is designed to build a community of Faith and develop strong Catholic Values by utilizing the Be My Disciples RCL catechetical program.

The new curriculum explores the four pillars of the Catholic Church: Creed, Liturgy, Morality and Prayer, challenging students to choose life in Christ each day. Adapted with scripture reflection and opportunities to experience the fullness of our catholic liturgical traditions, the Be My Disciples program will encourage all to “live as active, committed members of the Catholic Church.”

Parents are a vital part of the student’s spiritual development as their faith formation initially begins at home. Since parents are the primary educators of the students, please be aware that there will be a need to have occasional parent meetings throughout the year, especially during Sacramental Preparation.

We also encourage parental participation!
We need many volunteers to assist in the classroom and be catechists/teachers!

Dear Parents,

Our Catechists pay special attention to memorized prayer throughout the year. Please take a moment to download this  pdf Prayer Focus (103 KB) sheet for your family. Our teachers will be focusing on one prayer for each grade level. With your help, all students will learn and memorize one new prayer each school year.

Benefits of Memorized Prayer

  • Increases our students prayer life
  • Students are better prepared for Sacraments
  • An easy “goal” for parents and students to share for the school year

Thank you!
