Mary, Queen of Families, Pray For Us
On October 13, 2013, Pope Francis entrusted the world to Mary, as part of the Year of Faith initiative. This was a continuation with the acts performed by his predecessors, from Pius XII to John Paul II and a demonstration of Francis' devotion to the Virgin Mary.
In communion with the Holy Father, Mother Teresa parish has our own Marian Devotion, asking Our Lady's intercession in building up strong families here at Mother Teresa and all over the world.
Parishioners are invited to schedule a nine-day period to pray (as you would for a Novena) together as a family. To assist you in your nine days of prayer, you will be given a statue of the Blessed Mother and a binder with rosary and novena suggestions, reflections on images of Our Lady and writings from Saint Louis de Montfort, a popular Marian saint.
You may also invite extended family members, parish family members or neighbors to gather with you in prayer.
